The Casio PAW1300T 7V, otherwise known as the Pathfinder, is a stylish and durable watch made of sleek titanium with precision quartz movement for accuracy and function. The Pathfinder is packed full of

great features for day to day life as well as recreation and sports. Features like 5 separate alarms, a 24 hour countdown timer and 1/100 second stopwatch as well as world time for 30 cities make the Pathfinder just as handy in the modern world as it is in the outdoors.

The PAW1300T 7V is the premier timepiece for the outdoor enthusiast and boasts a tough solar battery that can last upwards of twenty years or more coupled with the accuracy of atomic time keeping, which is known to be the most accurate time measurement on the planet. These two particular features address some complaints about previous Pathfinder models concerning difficult battery changes and less than accurate time keeping. The titanium design is both strong and elegant, and is also responsible for the Pathfinder’s light weight, allowing you have all of the functions without even knowing its on your wrist. The watch also features an ascent/descent memory, barometer and even an altimeter all ready for whatever adventure you may be on.

Despite being an, overall, great outdoor adventure watch, there are still some problems, that needs to be mentioned. One of those problems is the thermometer. It will affected by the heat of your body, making it hard for you to get a proper measurement of the temperature. Also, the altimeter also suffers some problems with accuracy. The watch measures in 20 feet increments and needs to be reset often, to give useful readings.

The Casio PAW 1300T 7V runs around $250, and considering the features, styling and durability, it is worth every dime. It does not give perfect measurements, but that is a common problem for these kind of  ”all-in-one” watches. When it all comes down to it, the Pathfinder continues that trend combining style, strength and accuracy in one great watch, that easily lives up to the name Pathfinder.
If you are looking for a solid, feature-rich watch for some outdoor adventuring, then the PAW1300T-7V would be a superb choice.

The PAW1300T-7V has met all my expectations so far and I like the smaller size and nicer look of the titanium. I can now wear the same watch casual or dressed up and not look like I have a “skin diver” watch on… Read the full review here
