Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Automatic Watch 9937 Review

Invicta 9937

Summary: The overall look and feel of the Invicta 9937 rivals models much more expensive. It’s a precise, stylish and sturdy time piece. Diving, everyday casual, or business – This watch will be your new best friend. You can buy this watch on Amazon and get free shipping inside the the US.

5star(out of 5 stars)

P
ros: Feel, build quality, precision (Swiss automatic movement) Low price for such a high-end product.
Cons: Some might find the Luminous hand and markers a little weak. Some might prefer a coin edge bezel.

The Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Automatic Watch 9937 is a classic design stainless steel watch with a stylish yet casual appearance. This watch is tough enough to wear while playing sports but is sophisticated enough to wear to the office. The Men’s Pro Diver 9937 by Invicta comes with loads of premium features and delivers the kind of performance that you would expect from a luxury timepiece.

Let’s start with the features:

High quality swiss movement
Water-resistant to 660 feet (200 M)
Stainless steel 44 mm case with a chic black dial and luminous hands
Black ion plated stainless steel bezel
Sapphire crystal
Functions without a battery and powers automatically with the movement of your arm
The Invicta 9937 is for sale on Amazon.com

While this watch has an impressive list of good qualities, it does have a few details that are less than desirable. Some people complain about the brightness of the luminescent hands and markers, and yes, they aren’t particularly bright, but they get the job done. The automatic movement gains seconds with wear, though not anymore than the expected +/- 15 seconds, that is typical of automatic movement. Also, some people may find the smooth bezel difficult to turn and would prefer a more functional coin bezel. I know I do.

Overall the Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Automatic Watch 9937 is a great deal for the money. The watch’s premium features and design rival that of some high-end luxury brands. It looks stunning on my wrist, gets complimented everywhere that I go and performs beyond my expectations. The small cons that I have found,  have not been major enough to affect my overall opinion. I think this is the perfect watch for someone with an active lifestyle who is looking for a stylish yet functional timepiece. I am very satisfied with it and will most likely purchase another Invicta watch in the future.

We Reviewed The Seiko SKX779 Black Monster

Seiko SKX779 Black Monster Review

Seiko SKX779 Black Monster

Summary: Despite not being the most precise watch out there, It still is a great choice for the scuba-diving enthusiast and pretty much everyone else on the look for something durable, yet very stylish and cool. You can purchase the Black Monster on Amazon.com, right here.

5star (Out of 5 stars)

Pros: it’s a monster! heavy stainless steel casing. Cool looks, lumibrite hands and markers works well. Superb bezel. Affordable – high bang for the buck factor.
Cons: Some might be put off by the weight – It’s a heavy beast! If precision is very important to you, then it might be a good idea to look for something with another type of movement.

Some basic information on the skx779:

Movement – 21 Jewel Self Winding Automatic Movement
Water Resistant – 200Meters(660 feet) Water Resistant
Case Diameter – 46 MM
Dial window Material – Hardlex Crystal
Unidirectional bezel, for keeping track of elapsed time.
You can purchase the Seiko SKX779 Black Monster on Amazon, and get free shipping inside the US.

The Seiko SKX779 watch is a strong and elegant timepiece with a solid stainless steel case and resin (rubber) strap, giving it a very sporty look. The precision of Seiko watches is renown around the world and the SKX779 is no exception. The watch uses 21 jewel japanese automatic movement, which means it’s self-winding and needs no battery changes. It features a smooth bezel with easy-to-read markings.  Made specifically for diving, it meets the ISO standards, required for a quality diving watch. Experience has shown that flat crystals have a mirror effect making them difficult to read underwater. That is not the case with this watch, which has a domed crystal for better viewing underwater. the Seiko SKX779 is water resistant up to 200 meters or 660 feet. The hands and markers are equipped with Lumibrite for exceptional viewing in light or dark conditions.

The precision of the SKX779 is good, but not great. User reports that it runs either a little too slow, or just a tad too fast. Abnout 5-10 seconds a day. This is completely normal with an automatic watch, so it is not a big minus. Some might consider the weight of the SkX779 Black Monster a minus, as it really do lives up to its name. The stainless steel casing makes this a heavy watch – some might even feel it’s too much.

Even if you aren’t an avid scuba diver, the Seiko SKX779 is still a great choice. It’s rugged, melds form and function and is very stylish. This watch if perfect for the office with its elegant stainless

steel case and large markers and date display, and it’s tough enough for swimming, biking, and hiking, or any outdoor adventure you choose. The SKX779 is built to last, and it has built-in shock protection in addition to the steel outer casing.

For the price range this watch is a steal, around $200 for a quality timepiece with style to match. Perfect? No…but pretty damn good though! The watch also comes with a 3 year limited manufacture’s warranty, and with all of the features this particular model has -  it’s worth every penny!

From the moment you first hold this watch in your hand, you realize it is a quality timepiece. The first thing that strikes you is its large size and heavy feel, yet despite that, it feels comfortable on the wrist due to its fine balance. Read the full review here.

Our Review Of The Casio PAW1300T 7V

Casio PAW1300T-7V – For the adventurer

Casio PAG1300T7V

Summary: Solid, feature-rich timepiece for the outdoor adventurer. Even though the measurements aren’t always spot on, the quality build and feel + plus the solar powered atomic time precision, makes the PAW1300T-7v a sure winner, for everyone looking for an affordable, great outdoor adventuring watch. The Casio PAW1300T-7v can be bought on Amazon, with free shipping inside the US.

5star (out of 5 stars)

Pros: Many great measurement  features, Solar powered, Atomic time keeping,  build quality and feel,  great value. Titanium – lightweight but powerful!
Cons: Some readings, like temperatures and altitudes, can be a little “flaky”. To ensure the best performance, it is important to calibrate and adjust those features properly, before use.

The important features of the Casio PAW1300T-7V:

Quartz movement
24Hr. Countdown Timer, 1/100 Sec. Stopwatch, 12/24 Hr. Formats, 5 Daily Alarms; Bearing Memory
World Time (30 Cities), Digital Compass with 16 points of measurement, Altimeter, Barometer
Tough Solar Power; Auto EL Backlight; High / Low altitude memory; Cumulative ascent / descent memory; Relative altitude display
Water-resistant to 330 feet (100 M)
You can purchase this watch on Amazon, right here.

The Casio PAW1300T 7V, otherwise known as the Pathfinder, is a stylish and durable watch made of sleek titanium with precision quartz movement for accuracy and function. The Pathfinder is packed full of

great features for day to day life as well as recreation and sports. Features like 5 separate alarms, a 24 hour countdown timer and 1/100 second stopwatch as well as world time for 30 cities make the Pathfinder just as handy in the modern world as it is in the outdoors.

The PAW1300T 7V is the premier timepiece for the outdoor enthusiast and boasts a tough solar battery that can last upwards of twenty years or more coupled with the accuracy of atomic time keeping, which is known to be the most accurate time measurement on the planet. These two particular features address some complaints about previous Pathfinder models concerning difficult battery changes and less than accurate time keeping. The titanium design is both strong and elegant, and is also responsible for the Pathfinder’s light weight, allowing you have all of the functions without even knowing its on your wrist. The watch also features an ascent/descent memory, barometer and even an altimeter all ready for whatever adventure you may be on.

Despite being an, overall, great outdoor adventure watch, there are still some problems, that needs to be mentioned. One of those problems is the thermometer. It will affected by the heat of your body, making it hard for you to get a proper measurement of the temperature. Also, the altimeter also suffers some problems with accuracy. The watch measures in 20 feet increments and needs to be reset often, to give useful readings.

The Casio PAW 1300T 7V runs around $250, and considering the features, styling and durability, it is worth every dime. It does not give perfect measurements, but that is a common problem for these kind of  ”all-in-one” watches. When it all comes down to it, the Pathfinder continues that trend combining style, strength and accuracy in one great watch, that easily lives up to the name Pathfinder.
If you are looking for a solid, feature-rich watch for some outdoor adventuring, then the PAW1300T-7V would be a superb choice.

Review from an owner..
I was happy to see a solar version that would not require a battery change every 1 to 2 years and atomic clock auto set on the time. The PAW1300T-7V has met all my expectations so far and I like the smaller size and nicer look of the titanium. I can now wear the same watch casual or dressed up and not look like I have a “skin diver” watch on… Read the full review here

Purchasing a diving watch? – 5 important things to look for.

A diving watch is very different from a water-resistant watch. A water-resistant watch is merely made of water-resistant materials and sealed against the entry of water, usually with a rubber gasket, to withstand leakage while swimming or bathing. But conditions at the bottom of your pool are very different from conditions deep underwater, where the ambient pressure is very high, so a diving watch must be designed to certain specifications.

Here are some  important things to look for in a good diving watch:

1. Readability of the face. The deeper you dive, the darker it gets– your diving watch is useless without a lighting element. Also, the markings on the face should be large enough for you to read easily at a comfortable distance.

2. Stability of the strap. Make sure the strap attaches securely to your wrist and to the watch face.

3. Water resistant mark. This is usually printed on the face of the watch or etched on the back plate; on watches designed for everyday use it might say, “WR 10m.” This does not mean that the watch is water resistant at a depth of 10 meters underwater, but that the watch is reliably water-resistance under enough pressure to lift water 10 meters– atmospheric pressure at sea level. So, a watch marked “WR 10m” is designed to resist splashes of water on the beach. A watch marked “WR 50m” is designed to resist water at the bottom of a swimming pool. A diving watch needs a water-resistant mark of at least 200m.

4. The ATM rating. ATM, or atmosphere, is the standard unit to measure atmospheric pressure. A watch with an ATM rating of 1 is equivalent to a watch with a water-resistant mark of 10m; therefore, a diving watch should have an an ATM of at least 20.

5. ISO 6425. A watch built to ISO 6425 standards will probably be a safe bet, because it has been tested for all of the above qualities and more, including magnetic resistance, shatter resistance, rust resistance, and a long battery life.

Seiko SNA411 – Function and beauty goes hand in hand.

Seiko SNA411Summary: High quality build and feel, beautiful design and packed with a boatload of useful pilot-centric features. You will get an impressive timepiece, rivalling watches, that are far more expensive.
You can purchase this watch on Amazon, through this link.

5star
(Out of 5 stars)

Pros: Feature-packed beauty, with high-quality build and feel. PRICE – incredibly value!
Cons: Be aware that the numbers are pretty small, in therefore might be difficult to read, for some people. Setting the alarm is more time-consuming than it should be.

Let’s have a peak at the feature list:

Quality Japanese-Quartz movement
Hardlex crystal
Case diameter: 42 mm
Stainless-steel case; Black dial; Date function; Chronograph functions
Water-resistant to 660 feet (200 M)
Buy the Seiko SNA411 through Amazon, right here.

This watch comes with an impressive array of features. One of the best features of this watch is the bi-directional rotating slide rule bezel. I use it all the time to make calculations. It is very easy to use. It’s great when I can make a quick calculation with my watch instead of pulling out a calculator.

Another great feature of the watch is that it is waterproof up to 660 feet. I’ve taken it into the ocean and had no problems at all. It also has
luminous markers and hands that make it easy to see in those low-light situations. It features scratch resistant Hardlex crystal face. I am very rough on my watches, and I haven’t put a scratch in it during 1½ years hard use. I’ve also found the stopwatch feature to be quite handy and easy to use as well.

One drawback of the watch is its alarm feature. It is more trouble to set than it’s worth, in my opinion. Another negative feature is that the numbers are a little on the small side, which makes them hard to read occasionally. Other than that, this watch is an absolute gem. It is very “shiny” and draws many compliments from people. People are always quite surprised, when I tell them how inexpensive it is.

The Seiko Men’s Flight Alarm Chronograph Watch is an amazing piece of technology. It combines beautiful form with high-powered function in one magnificent package. It is a great watch for the pilots it was designed for, as well as for anyone that just wants a beautiful and highly functional timepiece. At a price this low, it is simply amazing how this watch outperforms other watches in the same category that cost thousands more. I have never had a watch that so many people “ooh” and “aah” over.

Review written by Peter Weston, for SportsWatchReport.com

From a buyers review:
Finely crafted, hard to take your eyes off of. Smoooooth second hand. Movement is nearly silent. Excellent glow-in-the-dark hands and hour markers. Moveable bezel is nicely damped so it stays where you put it. Screw down crowns are a welcome feature. Nice band with excellent double-lock clasp – easy to operate. Deep coliseum face gives a nice 3-D effect. You’ll need good eyesight if you intend on using the slide-rule features. Read the full review here.

Invicta 8926 Watch review – A high-quality, affordable piece.

Invicta 8926Summary: Precision, stylish looks, quality build and feel + an unbeatable price = winning formula. Despite its small flaws, the Invicta 8926 is solid choice for diving, everyday use and the more special occations. We highly recommend this time piece.
Rating: 5star (out of 5 stars)

You can order the watch on Amazon, through this link.

Pros: Looks, feel, price, quality. You will get A LOT of watch for your money.
Cons: Not Sapphire glass, some users reports that the bezel scratches too easily.

Lets start off, by looking at some of the key features of the Invicta 8926:
Quality 21-Jewels Miyota Japanese Automatic movement; Functions without a battery; Powers automatically with the movement of your arm
Durable mineral crystal
Case diameter: 40mm
Stainless-steel case; Black dial; Date function; Luminous hands and markers
Water-resistant to 660 feet (200 M)
You can grab this watch for $73.99 on Amazon, and get free shipping inside the US.

The Invicta 8926 is a solid watch with a feature that truly separates itself from other similar watches. That feature is found on the bracelet in the
form of a polished center link. The polish center link definitely gives the Invicta 8926 a more upscale appearance. There have been some complaints,
form other reviews, about the bezel scratching easily, but I don’t know how much of a problem it really is, as I didn’t want to mistreat the watch, just
to see if they were right :-)

The automatic japanese movement is surprisingly good, considering the low price of the watch. No complaints here.
What about the price? The Invicta 8926 can be purchased brand new for around $74, or used in the $60 to $65 neighborhood. There are much more expensive, higher quality watches on the market, but with such an affordable price the Invicta 8926 is really a no brainer purchase. Well, that is if you’re looking for a new watch. The quality in the Invicta 8926 is without a doubt high.  It looks stylish if you’re wearing a suit, or even a polo shirt and jeans.

The 660 feet water resistant is pretty standard, but enough to go scuba diving wearing it and be confident that it’ll keep on ticking after your water
adventure is over. Another great feature is that it has a black dial. For some reason a black dial on any watch adds to the watch’s luxurious appeal.
The hands and markers are luminious, making then easy to read in low-light conditions.

The Invicta 8926 must have been inspired by the ultra expensive Rolex Submariner watch, because the look is extremely similar, but the Invicta 8926 does sport some touches here and there that make it unique unto itself. But I must point out that although the fit and finish is done quite well, I found the unidirectional bezel a little stiff. The mineral glass on this watcch aren’t as scratch resistant as sapphire, but it’s not bad by any means. If this is a big deal for you, it’s probably a good idea to look for something a little more expensive, that features sapphire glass.

All in all the Invicta 8926 is a watch that is sure to please.  Nothing is perfect, but for the price and appearance, the Invicta 8926 is a great gift for anyone wanting a s tylish diving + everyday watch, that goes well with both casual clothing and a suit.

So far this is one solid, classy looking watch. Just taking it off of your wrist, turning it over and watching the thing tick away through the crystal
on the back is a blast. So far so good, and if you are into an automatic watch ( it winds itself with the swinging motion of your arm ) this could be
the one for you.

Casio Men’s Pathfinder PAG40-3V Review : A solid choice for the outdoor enthusiast

Casio PAG40_3vSummary: Sure, there are more advanced watches out there with more precise sensors and even more features, but Casio have made a affordable, solid, all-around good product with their PAG40 3v. You can buy the Casio PAG40-3v on Amazon.com and get free shipping, if you’re inside the US.

Rating:4star

Pros: High “bang for the buck” value. Lots of features and a sturdy build. Easy to change batteries.
Cons: Some of the measurements aren’t excactly super precise. Will not keep track of lap times. Serious “wilderness survivors” might want to look for another product.

The Casio Men’s Pathfinder PAG40-3V watch is packed full of features for daily adventures. Featuring a triple sensor altimeter, barometer, and digital compass, the Pathfinder has a great deal of advanced capabilities. Here are some

important specifications for the Pathfinder watch:

Advanced Chronograph
Scratch-Resistant Mineral Crystal
Water Resistance to 330 Feet (100 Meters)
Digital Compass with 16 Directions and 5 Memory Capacity (Direction, Month, Date, Measurements Time Data)
Altimeter (Up to 32,800 Feet [10,000 Meters] in 20-foot [5-meter] Increments)
Barometer
Thermometer
You can Purchase this watch on Amazon, through this link

The watch is great for users who need or enjoy the ability to get readings on a laundry list of environmental factors. Calibration on these functions is included for additional accuracy; from the altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and even the watch speed. You have complete control with the ability to calibrate nearly every function of the watch. For practical purposes, the well-constructed Casio Pathfinder holds up well. It features easy to change batteries (Part# 395) and a watch band which is very durable. The display is easy to read. In night vision situations, the display in darkness is excellent.

As for the disadvantages of the Casio Pathfinder, some users have difficulties with the sensors. Sometimes the readings will be slighty off. For other users, the sensors are simply too advanced, and they will never learn how to calibrate the watch. Additionally, the stopwatch will perform split time and single timing, but it will not keep track of lap times. This watch is probably not so good for someone who will use lap times, or who will not understand some of the more advanced sensors.

When it all comes down to it, the Casio Pag40 3v actually delivers graet value, considering how low the its price is. The feature list is great, but please be aware that it’s not without flaws.
The Pathfinder is a great choice for people who will use the added functions on the many sensors. If an advanced stopwatch is needed, another watch may be better.  The Casio Pathfinder is a great choice for many outdoor enthusiasts.

The Orange Monster – A review of the Seiko SKX781

Seiko Orange Monster230pixSummary: One thing that is certain about this watch; it has an attitude!  The Seiko “Orange Monster” SKX781 features a bold orange dial that is easy to see, and begs to be noticed. Overall, this watch deserver credits for its superb feature set, sturdy build, bright display and very attractive price. Sure, you could find an overall better diving watch, but not at this pricepoint. Amazon.com offers free shipping inside the US, on this Seiko watch.

Pros: Build quality, features and overall “bang for the buck” factor. The color choices, makes it very easy to see and read, which is excellent in underwater, low-light conditions.
Cons: It’s quite heavy, and not excactly easy to fit under a shirt. Not the most precise auto-wind movement watch from Seiko, but then again, at this pricepoint it’s definitely not bad.

Rating: (out of 5 stars) 5star

Let’s have a look at the features of this monster watch:

Kinetic movement eliminates the need for winding, or for the changing of batteries.

Featuring 21 Jewels Automatic Movement operation.

Attractive stainless steel case.

Water resistant to 200M (600 feet). Designed for diving, and suitable for scuba diving.

Bold orange dial and three hand function.

Extra durable tough stainless steel band.

Rotating bezel to allow for keeping track of elapsed time.

Strong and scratch resistant Hardlex crystal.

Screw down crown and caseback

Three year limited manufacturer’s warranty, guaranteed by Seiko a legend in the industry.

A cool feature with the SKX81, is The Lumi Brite hands, bezel, and markers, that tells the time in even the darkest conditions without any problems. Another thing that is truly convenient about this watch, is that with daily wear there’s no need to ever change a battery, or wind the watch. The movement of the wearer’s wrist and arm use kinetic energy to wind the watch. A time piece like this needs to be sturdy, and with its Hardex crystal glass and stainless steel band, this one does not disappoint. The Orange Monster has become very popular with divers, as the sturdy build, bright display, rotating bezel and 600 feet water resistance, makes it an all-around superb choice. The way this watch looks, feels and works make it an incredible value for the price. Sure, there a watches with better, more precise movement, but typically, they are a lot more expensive. The quality and craftsmanship in this time piece is exceptional for a watch in this price range.

For those looking for a watch that delivers great performance, features a bold look, and delivers astonishing value , the SK781 Orange Monster is, without a doubt, a perfect choice.

Bought the watch from Amazon Sunday evening and it arrived on Thursday evening with the 5-day delivery service. I’ve had it for a few days and I am extremely happy with it. I also own a Rolex Submariner, Breitling Chronomat, Omega Seamaster Chrono, Citizen Nighthawk, and some assorted Casios and Timexes. This Seiko automatic watch ranks just a hair below the $2000+ Swiss watches, but for under $200, it’s an unbelievable value. The quality and workmanship are excellent for a price in this range. – Read the full review here.

Seiko Kinetic SNP017 – A review from a (very) satisfied buyer.

Seiko SNP017_230pixSummary: The Seiko SNP017 is not only near-irresistible with its masculine, yet classy and stylish looks, but also sturdy, precise and very reliable. It’s not exactly feature rich, or budget-priced, but you will get a very sexy, high-quality timepiece.

You can Purchase the Seiko SNP017 from Amazon through this link, and get free shipping, if it’s shipped inside the US.
Rating:
5star (out of 5 stars)

Pros: Absolutely stunning looks and attention to detail. High-quality materialchoices and movement. It is a perpetual watch, so you will never have to wind it.
Cons: Some might be put off by the special look, the weight, the lack of timer, alarm or chronograph. In these economical hard times, some might also find the price a little too high.

Lets have a look at the features:

Japanese Automatic movement
Perpetual – functions without a battery, powers automatically with the movement of your arm. You never have to wind it.
Strong scratch resistant sapphire crystal
Case diameter: 41.5 mm
Stainless steel case; Black dial; Date function
Water resistant up to 330 feet ( around 100 meters)
Lumi Brite hands
The Seiko Kinetic SNP017 can be bought on Amazon, through this link.

If you’re looking for an unique, classy-looking timepiece, then the Seiko SNP017 would be a superb choice. I bought this watch for my husband, as a birthday gift, and I am very happy I chose to do so.

Why? Well…He absolutely loves it!. He uses pretty much every chance to show it off – its almost silly! It is a very handsome and distinctive watch, focusing more on long-lasting durability and all-around quality, than having a lot of different features.

My husband have talked about perpetual movement watches before, so that was one of my buying criterias. The perpetual action and preciseness of the Japanese movement, are two of his favorite qualities, along with the satisfaction he feels just by wearing it. It stands out handsomely on him. He have told me, that he have had many comments from friends and co-workers, as well as a couple jealous looks.

As the SNP017 is a perpetual movement watch, it powers up simply by the movement of your arm. No battery required here. The large hands (Lumi Brite) makes it quick and easy to read – even in low-light conditions. This watch also features a cool power saving mode. It “shut downs” if it hasn´t been moved in 24 hours. To start it up again, you just need to move it around a little, and the perpetual actions kicks in and sets the date and time automatically. Pretty nice. There is absolutely nothing about this watch my husband doesn’t like, and so far he has only good things to say about it. Actually, one of his good friends was so impressed with it, that he went out and bought one.

To sum it all up.. This watch is highly impressive and I think it’s worth its price. Yes, I know that it isn’t excactly budget priced, (I gave around 600$ at a small local place) but often, price and quality goes hand in hand, which this timepiece really proves. The whole feel of this watch, the materials and finish, is just gorgeous – It’s really that simple! My husband have thanked me over and over again, and I’m happy that I went for something unique looking, instead of something standard pretty-but-boring. It is not excactly a feature-packed watch, but it shows the time and date with precision and style. It has been extremely reliable and trustworthy, since the day I bought it. If you’re shopping for a high-quality watch, this model really deserves your consideration.

A snippet from a customer review…

” …This watch is wonderful. It has a very elegant look to it and is of very high quality. It does have some heft to it (something I’m still getting used to as my other watch was titanium and a lot lighter). Never the less, the Black and Gold look of the watch is very fashionably and the accuracy of this watch seems to be in line with my previous Seiko (about a half a second gain per month)…”
